An Introduction To Universal Compression Connectors

 

The main role of universal compression connectors is to create a watertight, secure connection between pipes without the requirement of any welding or soldering tools in order to achieve this feat. These plumbing fittings can connect to various different pipes, regardless of their material in order for the flow of water to be seamless without any potential obstructions in the pipes.

Features And Benefits Of Universal Compression Connectors

 

There are a number of key benefits that universal compression connectors may present. A number of these can be attributed to the PVC used when creating these, with this being a common material used in a whole host of other soil pipes and fittings. This is because this synthetic plastic is one of the strongest artificial materials available, with its impressive durability being an important factor.  This makes them ideal for universal compression connectors as they can withstand high volume of water flowing through them and all force that this may exert on the pipes.

 

As the role of universal compression connectors is to transport water and wastewater, it is essential that the material in use is not susceptible to wear and tear or even corrosion as a result. Once again, this is why PVC is used for universal compression connectors, with this not being affected by any weathering or elements. This is extremely important as this prevents leaks, ensuring additional safety and efficiency to the receptive system overall.

Universal Compression Connectors At The Drainage Shop

 

One of the universal compression connectors that is popular at The Drainage Shop is the range of compression couplings. These come in a number of diameters, with the smallest one being the 32mm Compression Coupling, with there also being 40mm and 50mm options also available. 

 

In addition to these couplings, we also have a number of compression elbows, the smallest one being the 32mm Compression Elbow, with the other larger options being 40mm and 50mm. These bends are all at 90°, however, there are also some 45° universal compression elbows, all of which follow the same sizing.

 

All of the universal compression connectors on site are created with PVC, possessing all of the characteristics and benefits which we have already discussed. What is incredibly notable with all the couplings and elbows we stock is that the seals these create between different drainage components are almost unrivalled, with these being water tight and extremely resilient to force sustained on the outside and inside from the volumes of water they help transport.
